Why Freehold Raceway Mall Feels Alive

Freehold Raceway Mall is a place people want to be. While a bunch of malls across the country have empty storefronts and quiet hallways, the Freehold Raceway Mall still has cars in the lot and real crowds walking through. You can see people browsing in big stores like Apple, Macy’s, and Primark or grabbing lunch with friends and family at one of the many restaurants. That first impression of energy gives you that classic “mall day” feeling that is rare these days.

Part of why the mall is thriving is that it keeps adding cool new things that you actually want to check out. Dry Goods and Warby Parker joined the lineup with fresh fashion and eyewear options. J.Crew Factory and other trendy shops expanded the style selection. And dining options such as Kura Revolving Sushi Bar and Mango Thai provide additional reasons to stay for dinner after shopping.

But it is not just about shops. Big additions like Dave & Buster’s and the Freehold Athletic Club, with courts, fitness, and games, give families and friends many ways to spend time together. We can’t forget about Dick’s House of Sport.

All this fresh energy keeps foot traffic steady and makes the mall feel current instead of outdated. Freehold Raceway Mall has figured out how to stay relevant by mixing the stores you know and love with new experiences and places to eat and hang out. That is a big reason it is one of the busiest malls in Jersey.

Saying Goodbye To A Fan Favorite Restaurant

Brio Tuscan Grille at Freehold Raceway Mall has closed permanently. I spoke to mall management, and this was just a case of Brio’s lease expiring. This is disappointing, as I really enjoyed the cuisine and the outdoor seating area in the warmer months. No word yet on what will replace the former Brio space, but mall officials say, “Stay tuned for more exciting mall additions and announcements.”
