What’s your go-to dough recipe and cheese for the khachapuri? I made it once with dough from Trader Joe’s and mozzarella cheese. It wasn’t the same. But I would love to have great dough recipe for some lobiani.
I do remember another Peace Corps volunteer eating this on a marshutka ride to Batumi. Apparently the egg wasn’t cooked well enough and she got sick, fortunately outside the front passenger window!

I have never heard of that or seen it before and know I want a taste so bad!
I wonder how may hateful people think that is Georgia, USA?

I never knew something like this existed until my wife and I went to a Georgian restaurant on a whim while we were in upstate NY. So happy we went because eating there was one of my favorite parts of the trip. It makes me happy to see this simple food item

This really looks similar to Pide Sucuklu (Turkish Flatbread) but with a different filling I guess? Maybe there’s been some cross contamination in regards to foodculture in ancient history..
