Picked these up $15 for 40 pounds at Sam's. They say "blend of hickory, oak, maple and cherry" and "no chemicals, additives or binders". Are these pellets any good? Should I stock up or am in missing something.

Been using them exclusively for a couple of years and have no issues!
They are all I have used since I bought my pellet grill, over a year now. I think they are great, especially for the price.

They work well. I prefer Lumberjack Comp Blend, but if I don’t have those, I will gladly pick up a bag of these when I’m at SC.

Something I’ll say. I like pitboss pellets. Thats just me. The thing that matters is getting something particular. I just had a batch of “competition blend” which was fine in a pinch. But once I added 20 pounds of hickory to it, it became so much more flavorful. So be aware of these “good for all meals” type of pellets. They lack the flavor we all deserve.
