OVER-THE-RHINE, Ohio (WKRC) – Dos Hermanos, a Mexican restaurant chain based in Columbus, has opened its first Cincinnati location in the Findlay Market District.

The restaurant held its grand opening Friday at 1819 Elm St., directly across from Findlay Market. Dos Hermanos is participating in the Findlay Launch program, which supports new concepts in the Market District, and is piloting its first full-service restaurant at the Elm Street location.

Dos Hermanos is known for its Oaxacan-style cuisine, including Mexican street tacos and banana leaf tamales. The business began as a single food truck and has since expanded to multiple food trucks, quick-service locations in Columbus and Athens, and a catering operation.

The Elm Street restaurant marks both Dos Hermanos’ debut in Cincinnati and its first full-service location.

“We started with a food truck and a lot of love for what we do,” said Robert Packer, the company’s director of operations, in a media release. “Fourteen years later, that hasn’t changed — we just have more locations now.”

Packer said the company’s focus remains on hospitality and community.

“It’s about showing up for people with good food, real hospitality and a place where everyone’s welcome,” he said.
