I already have plenty of kettles but I'm looking to buy this and there's some rust on the lid.I really like the lime green, all of my other kettles are black. I've been told that the ignitor works. These are the best photos I have of the overall grill and the rust on the lid. The seller wants $175.

Leave it.
Heat the grill up. Hit that area, and all other weld points, like the handles, and leg sockets with some spray cooking oil like twice a year.
I dont think thats fixable unless you have a way to apply enamel and color match. I dont know what that process is like, but i doubt its worth your time.
I am sure you can still get a decade out of that lid as is. They sell this and many other colors new on amz (kettle only), you can decide if this deal is worth it.

You can make it look a bit better with an SOS pad. Then oil it with cooking spray.
