Finally tried Mayo instead of butter. It was actually so good
Also used 3 slices of Kraft singles and some shredded cheese mix.

Dukes mayo is my go too. Sometimes I use the spicy pepper mayo with habanero jack cheese. Lip burning but tasty.

I’m team mayo, it’s easier to spread, it achieves the same results. I still use butter from time to time but my house is always cold so room temperature for me is too cold for spreadable butter. OR use both, just add a knob of butter in the pan and let the bread drink it up
