  5. The experimental cooking isn’t my style but I guess I’ll try to hang in there. I’d rather you return to more traditional cooking.

  6. 29:12 you should soak the rice paper in water so it would be soften out and the amount of water kinda depend on how soft you want it to be, just a tip i learnt when i had to make vietnamese spring rolls w my grandma, love your video and wish you all the best so we can have more vid in the future💖💖

  7. Love the presentation of the food; all looks delicious. Love that your daughter effortlessly switches between Japanese and English.

  8. I wish I could cook more elaborate dishes, but chronic pain gets in my way. Until then, I'll live vicariously through your videos 🙂

  11. I always love your daughter and husbands interactions together! Plus, lil Miss Madam is getting so big! I remember when she was practically baby babbling! ❤❤❤

  12. it's best to bloom saffron with ice cubes then it's ready to use once all the ice is melted! i also like the rice wrap but the paper needs just a little more moisture (maybe with an egg or more oil). thank you for another delicious video! i love seeing you cook and eat, it always makes me happy haha

  13. Aaaaah I feel so warm and cozy and very much satisfied now having watched this vid 💖💖💖 thank you for the good vibes and hope 2026 starting off well for you and your family!!! 🎉

  14. Man, I can relate to the rice paper struggle so much 😭
I gave up and just use spring roll skin instead

  15. I'm really glad that you used a Turkish rice since I'm a Turkish, haha!
Normally, we don't add onions in pilav, but your style is refreshing to watch ❤
Also, when the rice is cooked, you can shred the boiled chicken breast with your hands and add it on top of the rice on your plates. Sprinkle with black pepper, and you'll achieve an amazing flavor!
Thx for an amazing video, you are a great cook and mom ✨💕

  16. I started watching her videos some years ago, while I was a college student, they made feel so comfortable and motivated me to start cooking a lot in my home. Now I'm about to start my second year at culinary school and I keep finding this videos so fascinating, I just love them.

  17. hello imamu! i recommend wetting the spring roll wrappers with some water before using them, just enough to wet both sides fully. they will soften almost immediately and make handling them much easier. they're essentially big dried rice noodles. they dry out quickly, so they need to be either eaten immediately, kept moist, or deep fried in oil. cheers!

  18. It makes me weirdly happy to see you call the vegetable paprika as well. In Finnish we call it that too, but when I moved to America and called it that, my husband just started at me confused and said "You mean… bell pepper? Paprika is a spice."

  19. hello imamu , happy new year 😊. You look like the character usagi (played by Tao Tsuchiya) from alice in boderland.

  20. 29:22 Next time you’re working with rice paper, maybe try wetting it first since it’s more flexible when wet. Either dip it in a shallow plate of water, or get your fingers wet and run them on the rice paper surface.
