Very little ingredients. All natural, well lemon concentrate if that counts. And these chips are really good.

One of the best salsas u can buy at the store!

  2. I like it and like it even more that Costco sells it. I wish Costco sold decent chips though, those Josefina ones are great

Love how much garlic is in it. Goes great on eggs. I don’t care for it as a dipping salsa thiugh

  4. They have been around my area of Texas for over a decade. It used to be my go-to but something changed, really slightly the last few years and it’s put me off on them. I can’t pinpoint or articulate what it is but it tastes weird now.

Had it the other day for the first time and really liked it

Josefina , chips are second only to Julio’s , which are only available in texas .

Don know about the red salsa, but the green one had corn starch. Great flavor but weird af texture, couldn’t eat it.

Decent for store bought salsa. vastly inferior to anything you can make from scratch, also inferior to anything you can make with el pato

Mateo if you’re lurking here back off on the cumin man!

It’s a little hot for me, but I really like the hot version

I tried that once. I was not impressed. Get your chips from a Mexican market.

Thank you I just ordered some off H-E-B. Where did you find Josefina?

Im surprised I liked this as much as I do.

It’s a very nice jarred and shelf stable salsa.

Yuck. Cumin is a big nope in salsa for me. Doesn’t belong at all. Takes like dirty socks.

I used to go to Chili’s a lot as a kid back when it didn’t have a menu that was basically Applebees. My dad was a waiter at the first Chili’s in Houston at night so he could make extra money for our diapers so I guess he had some nostalgia. At any rate, loved their hot salty tortilla chips and cantina salsa when I was a wee one in the nineties. Mateo’s is the closest thing to that salsa I’ve tried. I put it on chicken tacos.

For jarred salsa, I like the Mateo’s hatch green chile. Not a fan of the other flavors. But fresh salsa will always be #1.

Of all the jars of salsa it’s the okayiest.

As far as jarred salsa goes, that’s about as good as you’d get really…

  19. I genuinely ate my last jar of this in two sittings via spoon. As a cumin truther, Mateo’s is divine for jarred salsa.

  20. NumerousLaugh8230

Yep couldn’t eat due to the cumin overpowering it

Can’t stand the vinegar aftertaste. It’s one of the ingredients.
