Any chef worth their salt would have laughed if served that disgusting Mushroom "Christmas Tree". But I suppose if it was accompanied by whispered absurdities, it would pass.
I always dehyrdarate mushrooms slightly before sauteing… That can be sundried, which is best as it increases the vitamin d content if the mycelium is still alive. Or just slowly in the oven. Nothing worse than slimy shrooms.

That's how I know my wife is cool. Our family walks around in a miasma of garlic vapours. Plus she wears a lot of silver so probably not a werewolf either… Win!
