That’s gonna take a lot of dish towels.

  2. AproposOfNoth1ng

This got an audible “oooo oh no” out of me

  3. smooshie-mooshie

The me that wants to leave early is 100% opening that door when no one is looking

  4. Creative_Wrongdoer44

Don’t mind me heading for my smoke break

“Don’t open which door? This door? I can’t hear you, taking my 15 outside”

    *Sonic drowning noises*

One spot I worked at had a 20ish step leading to the patio and one day this was happening but those stairs were by the bar. We ended up making a bunch of tortilla dough to seal it. Kept it at bay enough for the gm or agm t9 go around and unclog the drain

Please open that door, I wanna see it.

  8. CantaloupeCamper

Should be a drain in that outside area… maybe?

It does not look safe to be in that building. Especially with the power still on

  10. Carbon-Base

That’s definitely a situation – there’s no wet floor sign!

Holly shit! This happen to me at a beach side high end restaurant. Working away and this water started seeping in. While street was flooded. Crazy how much is behind that door..!

  12. ChefArtorias

I feel like they should evacuate that room/building.

Be careful in situations like this – I’ve had a friend die to a shallow flood inside a building because it got electrified.

open the door and give yourself an extra long weekend 🙂

  15. Yup, sitting at the bar at Outback on my day off and audibly said “holy shit that’s not good.”

Get everything on a counter homie

  16. Doomncandy

Lol. My place in California flooded in 2008. Where the city was built on famous flooded land. Everyone was shocked…

  17. Dragonnpants

Chef: “But we’ll be good for dinner service, right?”

  18. Mythbusters taught me that the best course of action is to wait until the whole restaurant fills up before trying to open the door to escape

This makes it so the pressure differential is minimized, so you can open the door and swim to safety

Fire marshal isn’t going to like that.

Get out of the water. Make sure there is no power which could charge the water. Is the water contaminated with sewage? Treat the water with extreme caution.

be careful of that door. I had one of those fold in half, under the pressure of the water on me in the ensuing floods from Hurricane Ivan. went from ankle deep water to chest deep water in 1 and a half seconds!!! Took every single one of us down under the water

  22. sabyr400

    “Don’t open that door!”

With the water that high, idk if you could.
