By this point I've gotten used to HF sending avocado pitt sized potatoes in the recipe bags, but this recent order I got came with one single puny spud. To boot, the recipe card itself calls for potatoeS… whoever has been in charge of potato QC over there has been dropping the ball bad.
With other recipes like burgers I would love to make actual potato wedges instead of diced home fries sometime.

I also got one single potato for a burger meal that I cooked yesterday. You are not alone, lol.
That does not look like 12 ounces of potatoes. You should report the bad ingredient.
If its the Italian sheet pan meal (with the veggies and potatoES), I got the same – but I was about to do my weekly grocery order, so not that big a deal to just add a bit more to it (bag of baby potatoes and a couple more veggies). I get it though – bit counterproductive to order a meal and be sent one teeny potato that’s somehow supposed to stretch to half a pan like in the pictures.
Either way though, I liked the general concept so much I actually decided to expand/adapt the whole thing and make it a bit more my own – using some thin cut chicken breasts I still had in the freezer, I marinated those in some vidalia onion dressing (just a couple of hours before cooking), then chopped up some fresh veggies (think I used bell pepper, carrots & zucchini) and tossed them with some liquid italian dressing (think it was Wishbone – which I absolutel LOVE), chopped some baby taters & tossed that with some oil & plenty of fry seasoning (which I keep on hand anyway). Put both of those things on their own pan, and then took the 3 chicken breasts (again, those were ones I already had) and followed that portion of the HF recipe (mixing breadcrumbs/panko with seasoning and shredded cheese). Then all 3 pans went in the oven at the given temperature (425 I think) for however long it took until they looked done (timing was pretty close to the one HF gave).
Not entirely practical for everyone else (who may not have everything on hand I had) – but the outcome was def one I would make again (only thing I’d change would be either slicing carrots thinner or throwing them in the microwave for a min or so before roasting).
The recipe says 12 oz of potatoes. I doubt that weighs 12 oz. I would tell hellofresh i did not get potatoes with this recipe. I dont remember if theres a not the rifht weight option or not. But you did not recieve 12 oz of potatoes. Then again my box has been at fedex since tuesday and i dont think im getting it anytime soon 🫠
