So I've had my Vision for 3 years ,ash drawer still in decent shape , no holes, after realizing buying a future replacement drawer is pretty much not going to happen I decided to tweak mine. I sanded the entire unit, cleaned it, then put 3 coats of black high temp grill paint, then took it to my local metal fab shop and had them install Stainless steel bottom plate ( on top of the old) as well as the 1-1/2" lip . They did a killer job Should- be good for many years… Cost was $70, well worth it, IMO….

That’s a great idea, I have a Vision Cadet grill with that same type of ash drawer. Same situation as yourself, drawer still intact but showing wear. Think I might start look8ng for local metal fabrication shops.
