Visited Fonda for the first time in many years last night. Had a good experience over all, but the food was off compared to what I remember on past visits. The Enchiladas de Pato (duck enchiladas) were okay, but waaay too salty, and served lukewarm, borderline cold. My dining companion ordered the Tacos de Coliflor, and the breaded cauliflower was decent, but overcooked. Highlights were the queso fundido (not pictured), corn soup, and tres Ieches, which were all amazing. Just an interesting aside — and maybe it was just the night — but the crowd at Fonda was very… homogenic. As in, I couldn't spot a single customer who wasn't white or middle aged. I compare Fonda a lot to Suerte, from a menu/pricing perspective, but the vibe honestly couldn't feel more different.
