Texas Pete was my intro sauce, and while I can look back with fondness ive long moved on

IMO, it’s to add to a bowl of salted popcorn to create salt and vinegar popcorn with some zip to it.

Shoutout to Chick Fil A for one of the few fast food places outside of Taco Bell where you can actually get hot sauce as a condiment

It’s not hot, but I’ll take Texas Pete any day over nothing

Texas Pete is the 7th most purchased hot sauce in the United States.

How is that slept on man?

Just reminds me of a subpar Tabasco. Similar to Crystal and Red Devil.

Many years ago I worked with a guy who was a sergeant in the NJ National Guard. One day he gave me a giant bag full of these and the tiny bottles of Tabasco the Army issued in MRE’s. Kept the bag in my desk at work, everyone would just come to me for hot sauce.

I’ve been feeling like Crystal may be one of the more slept on hot sauces after destroying a couple of bottles recently

Ahh yes, Texas Pete made in N. Carolina… Reminds of those old Pace picante commercials.

I’m a big fan of Texas Pete. Kinda like a better tabasco in a way.

Was having chili at a pot luck and I knew the person making it wouldn’t use much spice and it would be bland. So I brought a bottle of Chipotle Tabasco and a bottle of a Black Garlic Verde Sauce. Neither is excessively hot but both provide a punch of flavor. Then the hosts husband pulls out a bottle of Texas Pete and says this is in case someone wants some flavor not just heat. WTF? Both of the ones I brought have 1000% more flavor.
