With 6,000 exhibitors and 60,000 professional operators from 155 countries, Wine Paris 2026 opened in Paris and Italy is the second most represented country with about 1,350 total exhibitors, of which 130 gathered in the collective organized by Ice-Agenzia. A system that presents itself compactly in the land of France to enhance the indissoluble link between territory, quality and sustainability. Inaugurating the Italian Pavilion was the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida, accompanied by the Italian Ambassador to France, Emanuela D’Alessandro, and the president of Ice Agency, Matteo Zoppas. On the sidelines of the opening, Lollobrigida greeted French Minister Annie Genevard.
Visiting the stands Lollobrigida stressed that “the great participation of Italian companies in Wine Paris 2026 demonstrates the industry’s willingness to look to the future with commitment and optimism. Our wines, our spirits, our distillates are excellences that guard our tradition but never stop innovating to meet the favor of more and more people who want to buy Italian. The ministry, together with Ice, which I thank, is at the side of entrepreneurs in the effort to promote our products to conquer new markets and consolidate our position where we are already present.”
Ambassador D’Alessandro highlighted the strategic value of the Italian-French axis: “Wine Paris is a privileged platform for production and markets to meet. Our presence here testifies to the extraordinary vitality of the sector and the deep connection with the French market, a natural partner based on excellence, innovation and respect for traditions.”
The collective curated by Ice-Agency offers a complete overview of the national wine heritage, placing alongside the great historical names the most innovative emerging realities.
“In 2024, Italian wine exceeded 8 billion euros in exports, confirming its ambassador par excellence in its commitment to promote the identity of Made in Italy around the world,” Zoppas commented. Participation in Wine Paris 2026 is part of a solid growth trend. In the first ten months of 2025, Italian wine exports reached 6.51 billion euros. In particular, France is confirmed as a priority market, registering a +4.7 percent increase in Italian wine imports.
