This list reveals the best-rated restaurants in the city by customers on the site Restaurant Guru.
All of these locations have been given an overall 4.9 star rating according to the food review website.

Stoke Mill Restaurant
Located just outside the city in Stoke Holy Cross, this restaurant is based in a 700-year-old mill next to the River Tas.
Their separate dining room STORE, where guests can enjoy a seven-course tasting menu prepared in front of them, has earned a Michelin star rating.
It has received more than 2,000 reviews and is commended by visitors for its exceptional customer service and food.

L’Hexagone
The French bistro, which is now in its 6th year, serves dishes such as steak, bavette and croque monsieur.
This year it was named in The Good Food Guide as one of the reviewers’ top spots to enjoy traditional French cuisine in the UK.
It is based on Lower Goat Lane and has been praised for its down-to-earth feel.

Benoli
This is another restaurant that has been featured in the Good Food Guide as one of the best places to enjoy pasta in the country.
It is run by the 2012 MasterChef: The Professionals winner, who opened the restaurant on Orford Street in 2019.
Reviewers enjoyed the high-quality food, which has also gained the Michelin selection award, such as Agnolotti carbonara and Casarecci puttanesca.

Don Txoko
Next on the list is yet another European cuisine, this time taking visitors to northern Spain.
Based on Benedict’s Street, it specialises in steaks cooked over hot coals and has an ever-changing seasonal menu.
One reviewer said: “As a Spaniard, having good food from home is usually very hard in this country, and Don Txoko delivers wonderfully.”

Brix and Bones
It is located on London Street and offers meals that use an over-the-coals style of cooking for steaks, chops, venison and whole fish.
Since reopening in 2022, the restaurant has been named in the Good Food Guide as one of Britain’s best local restaurants.
The view into the kitchen, as well as the excellent table service, attracts customers.
