Today Iโ€™m sharing how to make soft, fluffy homemade cinnamon swirl bread from scratch. This cozy, old-fashioned bread is perfect for breakfast toast, French toast, or just warm with butter. Cinnamon swirl bread
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup milk
4 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3 1/2 cups bread flour
2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast

Cinnamon mix
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 1/2 tablespoons flour
Splash milk

Bake 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.

One question – do you always use bread flour? Many of the recipes call for All Purpose but I didn't know if they are interchangeable? Thanks for entertaining me while I exercise at home!

Heโ€™s diabetic, so I wish I was good with sourdough, butโ€ฆ You may have convinced me to break my olโ€™ bread machine out. My mom got her for me back when I was first married (rip ๐Ÿ˜‚) at 20. I never liked the big hard crust it put on breads, but I was young and dumb and I guess didnโ€™t realize I could use it for the dough cycle. You did great and I love you reaction ๐Ÿ˜‚.   6. Happy Birthday! My mother made a Cinnamon Swirl Bread. She would make a paste as well but she would add 4 oz of softened Cream Cheese & 2 Tbsp of Sour Cream to the cinnamon instead of milk. I have her recipe for this bread. I just so happen to inherit her recipe box. Great video! It turned out looking yummy despite the bloopers on camera! โค

  10. I usually keep a tablespoon measure in my yeast jar . Saves me from having to rummage through my drawer for the spoon.

  12. So when putting ingredients in just use egg yolk?? & then spead the egg white onto dough then add the cinnamon,powder sugar,splash of milk, then put that on top of egg wash? ๐Ÿ˜…

  16. I am making this now and praying it turns out. I have spent the last 3 days making the sourdough sandwich bread and the bread will concave on the top while baking. Troubleshooting after each time. Im not gonna quit trying though. Hope to finally figure it out. Thank you for teaching us and for the recipes.

Happy Birthday Ali!! ๐ŸŽ‰ Iโ€™m looking for one of those bow knives but Iโ€™m going to get one with the adjustable thing that helps you make thin slices, my husband likes thinly sliced bread for his lunches and I struggle to cut our homemade bread thin enough so Iโ€™m hoping that helps! Iโ€™m definitely going to try this recipe next week, I love cinnamon bread for breakfast! Do you think it would freeze well if we sliced it and froze it so we can pull out a slice for the toaster?

  21. Bread looks delicious! As for the bow knife (don't know if it was mentioned previously) why can't you put the bread on the edge of the cutting board to keep it slicing without hitting the board?
