Is this not considered a dal?
My son and I eat a metric ton of red lentils, and it's always random. I just looking for actual recipes yesterday, so this is perfect timing!
Made this last week. It was so good! Highly recommend
What is cilantro?
This looks delicious π. Your lemon chickpea soup recipe is one of my all-time favorite soups, and this looks like it might be up there as well. With recipes like this, I usually add 1/8 tsp of baking soda when cooking the onions because it helps them dissolve into a paste within a few minutes. Thanks for the recipe, Nisha!

I love adding tvp to my red lentil soup topped with gochuchangπ
I've made a somewhat similar soup before and loved it, so I can easily see it being delicious.
I'll be making a modified version of this so I don't have to go to the grocery store using green lentils.
Do you buy lentils in bulk?
I've been a heavy YouTube user for over a decade now, and this is the first time I'm ever going to actually buy something from a sponsor
And I'm definitely going to make this soup soon
The red lentil curry that encapsulated us all has been reincarnated and returned in it's final form, bringing unique levels of warmth and cozyness that were previously unimagineable until this fateful today. May all forms of the red lentil RPL recipes stay blessed and sacred π
Fyi Ras El hanout is used in most of the Maghreb, not just Morocco

My regular food prep lunch, is a red curry / lentil soup that I typically add sambal oelek, potato, zucchini and green pepper. If I want to thicken it without potato, I tend to puree some chickpeas. A trick I learned making your Lemony Chickpea Soup, which is a favorite of mine and my intro to you.
The return of the conducting hands of happiness! Must be a good soup πβ€
I just got finished making the soup, and I tell you that my whole house is smelling so well!
Made it last week, loved it ! β€
I bet that soup smells heavenly! Who else has built up their spice collection watching Nisha? I have everything to DIY that ras el hanout, and I refilled my garam masala today, too! Even picked up some za'atar for something out of BIG Vegan FLAVOR π
i have realized that my meal prep each week is literally whatevers up on your channel that week. Thanks for feeding me haha
soooo simple, nourishing, and absolutely delicious. Nisha, everything you make turns to gold! I would say it's unfair but you're kind enough to share it with us! I am so making this next week.
Yum! Will be making this soon, as I have just about everything I need.
3:11 I do and I would use a whole Serrano pepper.
I donβt like sweet and savoury food so I will sub with white or purple non sweet potatoes.
Thank you, YUM ππ
Watching from Ukraine. Thank you for this recipe. I'll try making it tonight. Best regards to all. Peace.
