I was totally expecting this to be just okay but dam it was really solid lol. I just did not expect a fish sandwich from McDonald’s to be good but eerything worked together really well. I also got extra sauce on the side and ended up adding more.
I totally get the hype now haha.

I crave one every year or two, and it never disappoints. The McMuffins, the Filet-O-Fish, and the McDouble remain my favorite things on the menu.
But if you have a Culver’s restaurant near you, they serve THE BEST fast food fish sandwich: beer-battered fried Atlantic cod. And this time of year, during Lent, they also serve walleye, a freshwater fish beloved in Wisconsin, where Culver’s is based. I highly recommend both the cod and walleye to any fast food fish lovers.

Yes, it’s a solid sandwich. Please don’t crucify me for this, but: I tried the Burger King big fish recently, it was pretty amazing on the scale of fast food fish sandwiches.
I haven’t had one in a long time but I think the fact that they are always made “fresh” helps because it’s not a popular menu item.

I was at a party one time and somebody made a comment about how gross filet o fish are and everybody laughed and piled on. I said something along the lines of “honestly guys I really like them” and then one by one everyone else was like “yeah I actually like them too.” Feel like there’s a deeper lesson to take away from that story but all I know is I’m craving one now.
