Walking at the local high school waiting for my kids to finish with swim practice. I then notice these tomato plants growing on the roof. Yes, they're flowering and there's a lot of fruit on one of them.
My garden on the other hand has had all the tomatoes killed due to wilt. 😭

That is… I have no words lol
I dated this girl, Candy briefly when I was young. I broke it off. On the Easter weekend i was out of the house but we had lots of family over. She showed ip heartbroken and drunk. They explained i was away. She left but on her way out she puked on the garage door. My Father hosed the mess off into the siding gravel.
There must have been some tomato in her last meal and those seeds were viable.
My father watered and tended that plant in no small part to torture me for visiting this pox upon our house on the Easter weekend. It thrived there in the road crush and even bore fruit.
If you think tomatoes are hard to grow this is for you.
There was definitely a big-ass tomato plant growing out of the sidewalk next to the dumpster by a local restaurant in early covid times. I watered it a little if I walked by but mostly it was on its own.
Okay, not a tomato but I found this volunteer living its best life on the curb outside my fence.

I think if the sun and water are right tomatoes are easy to grow. They’re basically weeds. Baring that you don’t live in an area where viruses are common
Now having good fruiting, both tasty and plenty is more challenging.
