Tonight I needed a small reset.
So I made it protein-heavy —
two kinds of beef, three simple sauces.
But I didn’t stop there.
A bowl of rice.
Miso soup.
And a fresh salad with egg.
Not out of obligation.
Just a quiet way of taking care of myself.
I felt drained, so instead of overthinking, I cooked.
Heat the pan.
Sear the meat.
Set the table.
Sit down properly and eat.
Sometimes rebuilding yourself
looks like a simple, balanced meal.
What helps you reset on low-energy days?

Beef cuts were short rib and sirloin.
Sauces were soy-based, garlic butter, and light ponzu.
Miso soup and salad keep it balanced.
Nothing fancy — just real food for a real reset.
The way you write reminds me of a bot tbh
Asahi 😋
Absolutely bot/ai
I begin my morning every day with protein now and feel much better overall
I can appreciate the message of not overthinking and just cooking a nice meal to reset yourself.
With regards to the protein aspect, though—I’m fairly certain we are going to look back in 10 or 20 years at this era of diet fads and realize that the obsession with protein was way overblown. Yes, protein is important, but eating an excess of protein is hard on your kidneys and colon. And while not necessarily the case, meals high in protein are often also high in saturated fats and sodium, which have well-studied relationships to heart disease.
I’m convinced 98% of people don’t know what protein is, what it’s for and how much you actually need.
Looks good! 😋 I’m buying an Asahi beer tonight.
In my family we call this fartmaxxing

The ice cold brew would be enough to reset my gut 🤭
