I never gave jordan much thought, but this was exceptional. complex and silky, but not super fruit forward. This was a roll in a pile of dried leaves and fireworks.

Jordan is one of those wines on several restaurant wine lists. Typically reasonably priced, tastes good and goes well with most foods.
I rarely ever buy it from a wine shop but for whatever reason, when nothing looks interesting on the wine list or the prices seem off, Jordan generally seems to fairly priced and what I gravitate to.
Your ‘79 seems lovely, congrats

I used to go to business dinners with a guy who would always order Jordan 2007. They ran out once and brought us a magnum of 2009, he acted so pissed.
Meanwhile we had all had a bottle each by that point and would never have known the difference.
