Will start this post with acknowledging that all of these are too young, but we didn’t have cellared Napa laying around in the basement.

Did with a group of 7 friends. Judged on taste/profile/age potential. Overall, all very similar. Nothing “stood out” in terms of flavor, structure, profile.

Had somewhat surprising results! The winner- Stag’s Leap!

I got a bottle of Artemis for my gf for Christmas, can’t wait to pop it open!

  2. All good wines, a little surprised to see no deeper thoughts other than the winner without a reason.

Looks like a fun lineup. The only Far Niente I’ve had so far is Post & Beam, really enjoyed it. But yeah every time I come back to Artemis I’m reminded it simply is a damn good Napa Cab.

As a stag’s leap member, pretty surprised Artemis ‘22 won. I love their other stuff (thus the membership) and prior bottlings, but maybe I just got a funky bottle of that. I would’ve bet on chimney rock to win

Drinking young vintages is always interesting. Is Chimney Rock drinkable at current vintage, sure! But you’re right it will develop well over a decade. I have no experience with Artemis aging but I guess I’m not surprised it’s bottled in the most approachable package. Seems like a pretty fair lineup though even if they’re young. Would be cool to do the same or similar with 8-10 years of age! How were wines selected? Some key names missing…

You need to post some actual tasting notes

  7. Nickel nickel quicksilver , this is the best Cab I think I ever drank

Those wines would benefit aging for 10 more years if not more
