I’m a fan, went there last time I was in Austin and it did not disappoint. We had Leroy and Lewis today and I was pretty impressed.

I love meat though!!

I liked their ribs better than Franklin, and I think terrys is awesome overall

Everything on that plate looks uninspired and bland but I know by name it’s probably excellent.

I’m a big BBQ person but dumb as fuck in the science of it. I really don’t understand these types of platters in showcasing good meat. Is it to compensate for the price these places rightfully charge if they’re operating 24/7?
The meat should be the hero but as usual it’s being overwhelmed by typical/cheap sides.
I get good meat, i just don’t understand this trend outside of “well they do it” attitude.

I live in CO but travel to TX for work from time to time, and I’ve stopped at Terry Black’s a couple of times now while in Austin and love it. People here will tell you of all the places that are better, but it blows away anything I can get at home.

I don’t normally go for sausage at a BBQ place but I did because the guy behind the counter sold me and their jalapeño cheddar sausage was absolutely incredible.

My cousins took me there a few years ago when we went for a visit. I still have meatgasms dreaming about it. Plus the banana pudding was pretty great as well.

Terry Blacks is legit. As is stiles switch and Louie mueller.

Moved from Florida to Texas and worked for a great spot when I was 16/17.
Moved back to Florida and my company catered bbq for a picnic. Horrible. My boss asked why I thought it wasn’t good. Just can’t explain to people that just don’t know.

I went to the dfw one and it was the worst bbq I have ever paid for.

The fact that the turkey is so good just blows my mind. It was the best turkey I’ve ever had.

I went to Dallas for work and had Terry Blacks, it was awesome, had the brisket, the banana pudding and a gallon of sweet tea.
Dirt-Southern
sad to say that i haven’t tried the turkey yet, or the green beans! The slaw alone can fill a person up.

Went there a few months ago and loved it. The creamed corn was amazing
