In Japan, there is a system where you can donate to a local municipality and receive a gift in return. It’s called the “Furusato Nozei” program. This time, I donated to Hokkaido and received ikura (salmon roe)!
When the ikura pops, its unique aroma spreads from my mouth to my nose — and I absolutely love it.
I really love ikura……
