I love mine on my 30” Slate griddle. I Rarely take it off and when I do it’s usually to clean it. Usually I just wipe it down with a paper towel, but if it gets really greasy I just take it off and spray it with dawn power wash, lightly scrub with nylon brush, rinse, and it’s good to go. Sometimes you can find a cheaper price on Amazon. I also forgot to say, you don’t have to remove it to store it. It has a high and low position and the cover fits over it in the low position.
