Solo diner – pinged Monday as had a Friday free to try my luck. Crazy they responded with a single table, single time available (lunch 1pm).

Close to first in the restaurant, servers / service was perfect even solo. Somm was gracious and very attentive throughout. No issues with courses / presentation as a single.

Pairing – superb at the middle option, stemware particularly impressive with varied and hand picked per bottle options. Particularly loved the cute single pour in mouth from on high reference to Spanish wine drinking. Highlight was a 66’ they only had three bottles left of.

Food – interesting for me coming from Asia as the flavour profiles were familiar for a number of dishes but obviously with both fine dining and cure Spanish twists. Standout non menu one off dish was a soba twist – twist being the soba was tiny baby eels. Delicious regardless. From the normal menu working backwards – desserts highlight reel with the cauliflower and Japanese donuts heaven sent.

From savory – paella Japanese handroll riffs – delicious tale side, pork crackling nostalgia dish, spring roll and ravioli, and duck nugget w truffle. Some of the milk covered dishes I could appreciate the nuances of but sometimes leaned towards sweetening a savory dish a bit far for my palate.

All in all very high quality would place next to some other like osteria with some of the complexity of flavors like hisa f. Would do again – probably with my missus next time though haha.

Interesting. I’ve been before but recently was told no chance for solo.
