By which I mean slices like this. They used to be more common, but it feels like most slice shops that I try these days don't do them anymore. Recs for a good stuffed slice?

I haven’t seen a slice like this since college.
The closest I’ve seen to this is the “Romana” pizza at La Villa pizzeria in Brooklyn. I’m pretty sure they don’t do slices of it though but it’s freaking amazing.
Oh man I had one of these with four cheese in Rome… sheesh
Last time I saw one of these was at Broadway Joe’s up by Van Cortlandt Park, right off the 242nd street 1 station. Back when I was in college, idk if they still serve it
Station Pizza used to make these bad boys. I haven’t seen one in over 20 years.
I have not had that item, but I believe that Domenick’s Pizza on Sutphin Blvd in Jamaica has those. You may have to order a whole pie though, Im not sure if they have it by the slice.
Reminds me of Sbarro
I don’t think they do the exact same style but I think east village pizza does a stuffed pizza. Don’t know how I feel about them tho lol
Knapp St Pizza at Marine Park is the online place I’ve ever had one of them, was heavy but well made
They used to be all over the place. The problem I ran into was that the crust often couldn’t be lifted without falling apart so you wound up needing a knife and fork.
Most long term NYers (outside former mayors) lump pizza into the hand-held category and would rather go to a proper restaurant to eat with utensils.
Maybe just go for a roll (chicken/pepperoni/sausage)? They can usually be eaten by hand.
Many places still do this
Tony’s pizza on knickerbocker in Bushwick has multiple options. They have a killer Philly cheesesteak, cheeseburger and one more I forget. They’re the only slices served with French fries too
Not really a New York thing. Kind of an abomination
They do stuff like this sometimes at Krave It in Bayside.
They’re pretty solid.
Tony’s Bushwick most likely has these or similar I think
Not Ray’s Pizza in BK does these. Not my thing tho
Mario’s on Long Island offers that type of slice
Mario’s down the block from the station at Dyre Avenue in the Bronx has stuffed slices.
Lil Frankie’s on 1st and 1st does something kind of like this called a Foccacino. I havent been in a while and I don’t think it’s on the menu, but we used to get it a lot.
