GENEVA, N.Y. — Valentine’s Day celebrations continued at the Dove Block Project Arts Center in Geneva with a fundraiser called “The Heart of Art, Chocolate and Wine.” The event brought creativity and community together to support the arts center.

A silent auction featured more than 100 small canvases with heart paintings created and donated by the community.

“My motivation is to support artists who aren’t normally seen so that’s why we ask the community because you have to be a pretty accomplished artist to have an exhibit like this,” said Elizabeth Lincourt, Fundraising Chair of the Dove Block Project.

“But we’ve got 106 people who sat at their desk who pulled out the paper, who pulled out the paint and the glue and the scissors and created,” she added.

Lincourt said the Dove Block Project does not charge anyone to attend its workshops.
