I haven’t heard anyone mentioning or even knowing about that in a while. I’m sure it was great. 😎

Sourdough bread, sliced ham (didn’t have any turkey on hand, I know), swiss & white cheddar), fresh basil, egg mixture (eggs, milk, fresh rosemary, salt, pepper), bread spread (mayo & mustard). Brought all ingredients together, buttered the pan, dipped sandwich in the egg mixture and placed in pan, cooked until golden on both sides.
Plated with raspberry jam, and fresh black berries and mint, finished with powder sugar. Cheers!

I am totally going to make those this week. My husband loves sandwiches and grilled…? Well just try to hold him back. I have it all on hand – but will leave out the Rosemary because neither of us like it. Thanks for posting!

I would have never considered putting rosemary on a sandwich. Interesting!

This is kismet. I was JUST thinking about this sandwich earlier this evening. My husband was watching a video about how to make a Monte Carlo and I, from the other room, thought it was about a Monte Cristo. I was disappointed to learn it was just a cocktail video.
But this is a sign (or at least algorithms + the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon in action). I need to make us some Monte Cristos tomorrow. This post looks too delicious!
P.s. love the rosemary touch! The rosemary is still growing in our garden, holding strong through the winter and I was brainstorming ways to incorporate it into recipes this week. Will give it a shot.
