
Hey Egg heads,
Did some grilled chicken and brats, and decided to do a clean burn with the left over charcoal. It got up to around 900 degrees! Went to the back and saw this streak??? Think it’s meat sweats but idk, now I’m concerned there could be a crack.
What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Wipe it off and you’re good.
It’s tar build up from the smoke that collects in the top wheel. Just wait till the egg is hot again and it’ll wipe off easily.
I get these on my egg every time I do a super long cook especially pork shoulder. I have a smokeware cap
It’s fine. Get these all the time and they go away over time.
