I kept seeing people recommend King Oscar everywhere, so I finally picked up a tin and went with the Mediterranean ones since they caught my attention. I honestly enjoyed them a lot. Really clean taste, easy to eat, and just a solid experience overall.
I still don’t have a favorite brand or anything yet since I’m kinda new to trying different sardines, but this was a good first impression. I can see why people like them.
Next time I might try the original ones in just olive oil and see how those compare. Not sure yet, but I’m definitely open to trying more.

Those are a favorite and can be easily found.
KO never disappoints! I don’t think I’ve ever had a tin from them I didn’t like
Try their Mackerel tins, they’re really good too 😊
This is my budget brand and as low as I go, meaning price.
These are absolutely incredible and are a bargain in my opinion.
Slap those on some nice toast. A bit of lemon is a nice touch.
The KO Med version is the only tinned fish I have ever bought in bulk. I want to try every variety of tinned seafood out there, but I saw a good deal and bought a ten pack. I won’t say they are the greatest, but they never disappoint.
These are very good with the Texas Pete extra hot sauce
I always keep a few in my pantry. Solid choice.
KO is so underrated. I enjoy all of their varieties.
I’ve yet to try this one but I’m hoping to take a crack at a can of bristlings in olive oil from KO.
Surprisingly, I’ve heard some say that while this tin is good, some have also said chicken of the sea’s mediterranean sardine variant is just as good as it for lower cost.
Unfortunately trying to find it in retailers for me has been a challenge.
The Mackerel is awesome too.
