The chef behind Dubai’s INÁ is heading to London with a new opening.
London’s dining scene is about to get a fresh injection of Mediterranean energy. This March, renowned chef Glen Ballis will open a new restaurant dedicated to modern Greek cuisine, CLIO in Marylebone.
While details are still emerging, CLIO’s concept centres on produce-led cooking with a wider Mediterranean influence, shaped by quality ingredients and a confident, contemporary approach. Expect a menu built around generous, sun-soaked flavours that feel instantly transportive, from intentionally sourced meats and grilled fresh fish to seasonal vegetables prepared with care. It’s a direction that plays to Marylebone’s appetite for ingredient-first dining, where simplicity is the luxury and provenance does the talking.

The drinks programme is also expected to lean into craftsmanship. Although the full list is under wraps, anticipate a thoughtfully curated wine selection designed to complement the kitchen’s coastal sensibility, spotlighting high-quality bottles and producers with a clear point of view.
Interiors remain mostly unrevealed, but the mood is said to be warm and earthy. Early details hint at a space shaped by natural textures and relaxed sophistication, with warm tones, a stone bar and greenery woven throughout. The goal, it seems, is to create a setting that feels both escapist and familiar, like a holiday you can drop into after work.
CLIO will take over the former Wulf&Lamb site at the corner of Paddington Street and Chiltern Street, placing it in the heart of a high-footfall area of Marylebone. It will sit among strong culinary neighbours such as Alley Cats Pizza, Berut Bistro and Mielo, while also joining a well-established cluster of Greek favourites nearby, including Fotia, Opso and The Real Greek.
Chef Glen Ballis is best known in the Middle East for INÁ at J1 Beach in Dubai, a concept that made waves for its bold live-fire cooking. INÁ, which means fire and flame in Nigerian Yoruba, is home to the largest open-fire grill in Dubai and was named ‘Favourite Newcomer’ at the FACT Dining Awards Dubai 2025. With CLIO in Marylebone, Ballis brings the same momentum to London, translating his ingredient-driven style into a modern Greek format tailored to Marylebone.
More details are expected soon, but for now, this is one to keep firmly on your radar.
