AL.com puts Lambert’s Cafe on top “comfort food’’ list

Lambert’s Cafe in Foley (2981 S. McKenzie St.) was named one of Alabama’s nine go-to restaurants “to go-to for comfort food when the winter months hit’’ by al.com.
The restaurants listed offer up an array of place serving flavorful and hearty favorites that around bound to fill you up, and warm you up too,’ according to the state’s most popular news website.
“When the weather outside gets rainy and cold, nothing warms you up quite like a hot meal,’’ wrote al.com’s Amber Sutton.
“Lambert’s Cafe in Foley has become a well-known restaurant during its more than 20 years in business for a lot of reasons — those hot and fresh “throwed rolls” are likely at the top of that list — and one of ‘em is that you can get a hearty meal full of comforting favorites,’’ Sutton wrote. “From sausage and kraut to hamburger steak smothered in peppers and gravy, roast beef, chicken pot pie and more, Lambert’s menu is perfect for a winter day.
