Also, most of my recipes are vegan. This one is not but it is a wonderful cake and, yes, I have tasted it.
I first tasted this cake when a friend made it some years ago and it is the best cake I have ever tasted. In fact, I get that exact comment all the time from people who taste it. It has become my "go to" recipe for quick orders. Don't let the many layers scare you as they really are not that difficult to make once you get used to doing it and if you plan ahead. It is called "Milky Girl" cake and it is an old Russian recipe. There are a number of recipes online along with the instructions for making it (which are very important for a successful cake). All of the recipes are quite simple, using few ingredients. The recipe l use is the one calling for two eggs and one cup of flour. Also, I exaggerate not when I say 99.9% of the people tell me it is the best cake they have ever had in their lives.
Two key take aways from the "how to" for this recipe. Have all of your parchment circles premade and ready. Most important of all, remove your baked cake layers from the parchment immediately after taking them from the oven.
