Associate Cider/Wine Maker
Position Overview
Jersey Cider Works, makers of Ironbound Hard Cider, is a NJ-based farm cidery & winery located in Hunterdon County currently producing 10,000 cases annually. We are in search of an experienced professional to join our team and assist in overseeing all aspects of cider and wine production. This is a full-time, hands-on position with opportunity for advancement that will include working closely with our production, operations, and sales teams to produce and bring to market our full product line of ciders, wines, hard seltzers, and RTDs.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in juice, ingredient, and material sourcing and procurementPlan blending, filtration, and carbonation of batchesSchedule bottling/canning runsEnsure quality control during all aspects of the cider/wine-making processCoordinate tank management, CIP, and sanitation programs Maintain accurate records for government and company requirementsMonitor compliance with all safety, regulatory, and sanitation protocolsAssist in inventory management of supplies, materials, and productsCoordinate with sales team to meet sales forecasts and seasonal demandContribute to continuous quality improvement initiativesAttend events, tastings, and festivals as needed
Qualifications
3-5 years of professional cider/wine-making experienceStrong understanding of fermentation science and cellar managementComfortable working in a physically demanding environmentAbility to operate a forklift is desired, but not requiredWorking knowledge of Bucher crossflow filtration, Velcorin technology, and Ekos production software is a plus
