
Made my first two tier cake for my cousin’s baby shower. She bought the cake toppers and stars. I made the other stars out of fondant (marshmallow) and the rest is buttercream. It’s an eggless vanilla top tier 6” and chocolate bottom 8” with vanilla buttercream. I totally forgot to add the “glue” between the tiers. Also underestimated the time it takes to make buttercream for two cakes. I timed the recipe by 5 so it took like a whole hour just to make the buttercream. It took 4 hours the night before just to make butter cream, fill and stack, crumb coat, refrigerate for 20 min, then do the final coats. Next time I will definitely break it up even more! All in all, quite proud of the cake and it matched the vision my cousin had. Sooo much work though 😂
