I stopped by Seiyu after work to grab dinner for the first time in a while.
Katsudon was ¥299, tamago sando ¥199, and dessert ¥199.
Everything was actually really tasty, and I ended up completely full.
I’m still kind of amazed this was under ¥700 total.

I truly miss this sort of thing….
Normal prices? Or the evening half price markdowns that usually happen around 8 pm?
Many eggs.
Great price!
Yummm looks all good!!!
Those are Trial staples. Seiyu is now owned by this Fukuoka based retailer after Walmart’s failure as owner and a brief stint under private equity and Rakuten. At the giant Trial near my house I’d say those are both 10-20 yen cheaper. And yes, you can find them half off even!
Ugh …coming back to the Bay Area after paying those prices . Breaks my heart and wallet.
Most of the time people don’t realize the local value of the Yen and brag about “cheap food” which it’s obviously only cheap due to the conversion rate.
This however is legitimately a good deal.
Those are FAT egg sandwiches 💕
I miss those
