I love homemade sloppy joes
I would cut my fingers off if I tried to peel a potato like that!
My mama would not eat ANYTHING that hadn’t been salted while it was cooking. She said that the salt would never get into anything if it wasn’t cooked in.
No need to freeze sloppy joes. I just make them and eat them every day until they are gone. That’s what I do with everything I cook. Luckily I don’t have to please anybody else but me!
The sloppy joes look good, except they are missing brown sugar. I use brown sugar but no ketchup. I’ll try the relish next time!
It's all mental. All cans have a plastic lining now. There's no metal contact with the contents. Those days are loooooong gone.
Watching your video makes me smile. I am older than you are, i am 73 now, but so many things you use, i use the same things, parring knife for peeling potatoes, peeler for carrots. I use oil and butter for my fried potatoes.
Thank you!
In West Virginia we love our fried potatoes and onions
That’s what I do too. A little oil and a little butter.
The outer peel of the onion is tough.
It’s the acid in the tomatoes that pick up the metal taste
Chris is so funny. When she put a tiny pinch of chili powder, he grunted. He wants more chili powder mama!
Mamwitch is not a sloppy joe. It's a man-witch.
Looks very delicious my mom peeded potatoes with a knife too when I do onions one slice and peels right off have a good afternoon for me enjoy your meal God bless you all
I fry my potatoes in bacon grease that I save from cooking bacon I cook my bacon in my oven on parchment paper at 400° for 15 minutes and save the grease
I've always been just a manwich sloppy joes guy but I will try this one.
A cat for the first time outside, they never come back
My mama used a big butcher knife to peel her potatoes, not a small paring knife. She didn’t chop them up on a cutting board, she sliced them into her frying pan, straight out of her hand.
Should be very careful with the onion as onions are poison for dogs. I see that pup jyst looking for bits on the floor
What was the secret ingredient?
How do you cure your cast iron pan before is safe to use the first time and how you clean it
Made taco meat, and then added spaghetti sauce to make sloppy joes. Was delicious!
I use hawaiian hamburger buns. Yumm!
Looks yummy.
That stove is awesome what kind is it?
I love sloppy joes❤❤❤
You can fight with the outer ring of the onion till the cows come home. It never is worth it. And is always tuff and has a strong taste
I use a knife also! Thanks for video 😊. I miss my mom’s fried potatoes. I’ll have to try to make them. Inspiration from you 😊
Hello 👋 from the USA.. this looks amazing I am definitely gonna have to try it. Great job.
I agree it does have that metallic taste
Don't always need the less fat hamburger.
Looks.good.tammy❤
What time is dinner mom?
I have never had sloppy joes with pickle relish in them, really never ate a lot of them either because I always use the canned sauce . What flavor does the pickle relish add to the dish. Sounds delicious!! I am going to have to try this recipe ❤
I’ll still pick up potatoes that way
Not sure if you know this, but when you have a bitter taste in anything with tomato'es, add 1 teaspoon of baking soda while its cooking and it neutralizes the acidity and get's rid of the bitter taste.
Do you use sweet relish or dill?
We enjoy these with some cole slaw as well. Yum~thanks and have an awesome week!
