Sisao, a French fine-dining restaurant in Lambertville co-owned by acclaimed chef Brian Held will close its doors on Saturday.

Held invited customers to help shape the final menus this week by suggesting favorite dishes from his repertoire.

According to a message posted on the business website, possibilities include Truffled Wild Mushroom Soup, Sweetbreads Risotto and Veal Blanquette.

The restaurant, which described itself as “a dining experience touched by Provence and the South of France,” will offer a $75 prix fixe menu with no petite options during the last days.

“As this chapter of Brian’s journey comes to a close, he invites you—his loyal customers—to suggest a favorite dish of his; it could become part of the final week’s menu,” the website states.

“We want to send our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported Brian at Sisao and all the previous venues over the years. It has meant a lot.”

Plans for what comes next were not disclosed, but the website indicates customers who remain on the email list will be informed of future developments.
