After 20+ years of being a backyard gardener, I finally crossed the line today. I took the plants that were even suspected of having communicable issues, and chucked them out. I have literally never done this before. I’d try to save plants until their problems spread to my whole garden. Never again ( I’ll probably do it again ).

What communicable diseases did seedlings have?

I thought this was going to be about starting tomatoes too early (me) and then agonizing over legginess and lack of room/light (also me), but finally giving into the urge to toss them and start all over (not me). Sorry for your loss but also good for you! Looking forward to having another thing to worry about, lol.

It’s really tough when plants have to be tossed out.

    Sigh…

  4. no holes on the containers? roots seem fine, leaves not so bad, it’s normal to have plants not so perfect before you plant them outside in the right conditions

    Throw it away. Good job!
The hardest part is always to be ruthless and cull/trim/kill/dump. But you know deep in your heart it’s the more effective method!
