Yakiniku Jambo Hanare is one of Tokyo’s most talked-about yakiniku places— highly rated restaurant known for its high-quality wagyu beef.
Course: Set course (~10 courses), covers a wide range of beef parts, from classic cuts like tongue and rib to special items like noharayaki (sukiyaki), wagyu nigiri, and Chateaubriand Steak. The staff will grill the meat for you.
Most dishes here seriously deliver if you love beef; the wagyu is tender and juicy with good marbling. The seasoning tends to be straightforward with salt and pepper or their sauces, which lets the beef shine rather than masking it.
Special shoutout to the noharayaki (sukiyaki) and the Chateaubriand steak — they were by far the best cuts of the night. The noharayaki was incredibly tender, and when dipped with the raw egg, it became silky and even more flavorful. The Chateaubriand was thick, juicy, and almost melted in your mouth with each bite. Both cuts really showcased the quality of the beef and were the clear highlights of the meal.
Also, their peach sorbet dessert was very good and ended up being one of the highlights as well. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect way to finish after all that rich wagyu.
Cost to Performance:
I’d say the value here is excellent — considering the quality and amount of beef you get, it almost feels like a steal. It’s hard to find this level of wagyu outside of Japan, and even within Tokyo, the pricing feels very reasonable for what you’re getting.
Note: You are required to order a drink.
Personal Rating: 9/10
Yakiniku Jambo Hanare is one of my top yakiniku meals I’ve had in Tokyo. It’s absolutely a place I’d return to, and I’m already planning another visit in a few weeks.
