Every year I get a full pig and either a quarter or half beef. I've just been thinking (and a few beers deep) and realized, for the price point, nothing beats a spatchcock chicken. FYI, my take home price for half a beef is about $8.50/lb, pork $2.90/lb. Grocery store full chicken, $1.49/lb. EAT MORE CHICKEN!!!

    EDIT: Explanation from OP below, it was due to blackened seasoning, not burning.

    Most smoked beef and pork beats a spatchcocked bird if we’re being honest with ourselves. Still looks great though.
