Full instructional video in my profile. I made the intentiona choice to use extract and food dye in this recipe. If thats not your jam, I have a Banana Bread Cookie recipe in my profile as well! Enjoy!

    Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

    Makes about 28–30 cookies

    Bake at 350°F

    Ingredients

    2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    3/4 tsp baking soda

    3/4 tsp salt

    1/4 tsp cream of tartar

    1 cup butter, room temperature

    1 3/4 cups granulated sugar

    1 large egg

    1 large egg yolk

    1 tsp banana extract

    Yellow gel food coloring

1 3/4 cups dark chocolate chips (regular or mini)

    Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment.

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar.

In a large bowl, beat the butter until smooth. Add the sugar and cream until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add the egg and egg yolk and mix until fully incorporated. Mix in the banana extract.

Add yellow gel food coloring a little at a time until you reach a bright banana-yellow color. Mix fully and let the color bloom for a minute before adjusting.

Add the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
Fold in the dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

    Scoop using a 1 1/2 TB or about a 1 oz scoop.
Place on parchment-lined trays and freeze until solid. Once frozen, transfer to a freezer bag.

Bake straight from frozen at 350°F for about 12 minutes, adding 1 to 2 minutes if needed, until the edges are set and the centers are still soft.

Let cool on the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.

Do you have a favorite recipe you don’t mind sharing with the world? My girlfriend does organic sourdough baked goods and her sweets are the best I’ve ever had. Her sourdough chocolate chip w sea salt cookies are insane (I’ve always been a chocolate chip aficionado), even better than my grandma’s oatmeal chocolate chip… and that is a tough pill to swallow… love you Neno… anyways… banana bread is my second favorite sweet treat, and of course chocolate chip cookie is and always will be #1. But a cross between the two? I think you’ve got something incredible figured out.

Those look sooooo good omg. How moist where they? Omg! I would eat sooo much batter…you’d call the cops when you saw how much and wonder about your own personal safety. Kinda like a giant black Kirby inhaling all the batter as friends and family stare in horror and disgust…sorry. Got a lil carried away…that looks delicious..cool mug 😉
