We had never been to Clapham, its a nice neighborhood.
We decided to dine at Trinity after seeing a lot of videos from Adam Byatt online.
The menu is a 4 course with each course having different choices.
The service was a young team and it was perfect.
We took a half bottle of Lebanese wine. And this was really nice.
We started with some parmesan sable biscuits
And a gougère filled with cacio e pepe sauce with black garlic
Their house made sourdough bread was really good also
For the first course i went for the scallop crudo (tartare) with grapes and hazelnuts, topped with pickled kohlrabi and tarragon, surrounded by ajo blanco sauce
Really fresh and clean flavours, really good dish
We also went for the tuna with a blood orange dressing, which was also really nice
For the second course i took the boudin blanc gourmand (sausage of chicken mousse, sweetbread, duck leg and pistachios) paired with jus vinaigrette, bitter leaves and crushed parsley root
Such a rich dish with a fantastic sauce, balanced with the crushed parsley root, simply amazing
The other course was agnolotti filled with pumpkin and cep, with a sage leaf and a brown butter emulsion
As main course i took the roasted rosé veal (5 pounds supplement) with parsnip fondant, parsnip puree, quince, morel, jus with shimeji mushroom
So tender veal paired with sweet parsnip, a nice morel and the quince gave another good flavour, the sauce was really good
Other main course: on the crown roasted chicken, with smoked sausage (a little salty) on top of something choucroute like, an aged prune filled with garlic and brioche, black truffle and potato
The chicken was so juicy and it paired well with most of the accompaniments.
Desserts:
Honey souffle with bees wax ice cream
My first time having a souffle, it was really nice, the hot and cold aspect was amazing.
Choux filled with hazelnut and chocolate paired sith milk ice cream
A really good dessert, really rich, rather on the heavy side
Then came some of the best madeleines which were so crispy on the outside and just so perfectly freshly baked
Overall a perfect experience and an adress i will go back to every time im in london

Nice seeing this come through and glad it was a good experience! I’ve been wanting to try Trinity for a while, purely because of Adam’s videos.
Wow everything looks sooo good. Obviously honest/negative reviews are important but I just love reading a positive one. Thanks for sharing
I used to go here a lot before it got the star – was easily the best value tasting menu in London at £45 (2012) and a wine pairing at £35 – and have been a few times since.
It was fabulous back at the start, including having some of the best waiters in London (one of whom went to be Maitre d’ at Alinea I believe). It’s more refined now, but still superb and a wonderful focus on deliciousness over faff.
Very glad you liked it!
