This is such a simple Shin Ramyun upgrade but it honestly tastes way better than it should for how easy it is. I keep seeing people say adding peanut butter to ramen gives that tan tan men feel, and they swear Shin Ramyun Black pairs perfectly with it, so I had to try.

The rich, nutty broth from the peanut butter mixes so well with the beef bone base in Black. It melts right in and brings out this creamy, toasty flavor that makes it feel way more gourmet than instant noodles should. It's not exactly the same as real tan tan men, but it gets super close to that cozy, hearty vibe at home.

The best part? You barely need anything extra. Just peanut butter and whatever toppings you have lying around. Super easy, no fuss, and fun to play with if you're bored of plain ramen.

Has anyone else tried peanut butter ramen hacks? Or what's your favorite random way to doctor up instant noodles?

What kind of peanut butter? Sweetened or unsweetened?

I really enjoy the black shin ramyuns, usually I put leftover ground pork or beef, some leftover stir fried mushrooms or bok choy… I never really think about adding to the soup base since it’s already spicy.

This is a great idea, I always forget about peanut butter 🤔

Wow I’ve literally never thought to add peanut butter.

A spoonful of peanut butter honestly elevates 90% of instant ramen or homemade ramen flavors, I love how it perfectly creams or thickens up the broth just a tad bit as well. It even works with the black bean paste ramen, albeit not my go to for that

I thought of adding peanut butter to my ramen today then thought that’s insane. Sooo now tomorrow I will do it! Glad I saw this.

  5. Gojuchang plus peanutbutter is even better. 😉

Just melt both of those by adding hot water before adding it to the noodles.
