Vivoli il Gelato Opening a Wine Window at Disney Springs

Vivoli il Gelato at Disney Springs in the Walt Disney World Resort will start operating a wine window in the evenings throughout the week.

Vivoli’s Wine Window

Originating in Florence, Italy, in the mid-1550s, wine windows were a subtle way for wine sellers to sell their wine to the public, avoid taxes, and keep themselves safe when a plague hit nearly a century later. Vivoli, which began in Florence, is bringing this tradition to Disney Springs.

Starting March 2, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, guests can have their orders delivered via a wine window as shown above. However, their wine window appears to be more of an affogato window, judging from their Instagram video and caption. Either way, the new service is another nod to Italy.

Affogato Cart

Vivoli il Gelato recently opened a new Affogato cart at Disney Springs. Vivoli il Gelato is located in The Landing area of Disney Springs, but the new Affogato cart is in the Marketplace between World of Disney and Basin.

Affogato is gelato topped with espresso. The cart also offers a cup of espresso and a few other treats. Here’s the full menu:
