Just set the grill on fire and burn it off.

A scrubber and fire sanitizes everything.

    Purge by fire

Leave a gap so it can breath

Light the grill, close the lid. Scrub grates when very hot. Then just cook more often.

Fire. Fire will fix that. Leave it at 300+ for an hour and it’s the most sanitary thing you own

  7. This is a grills call for help to be used in the winter time.

  9. I’d probably spray it with oil to help it burn off when you light it, then one it’s hot for a fair minute – vinegar spray and aluminum foil rubdown. I had similar happen to a smoker once.

Turns out grilling in the grill is good for the grill.

  11. KILL IT WITH FIRE.

I mean literally just heat it up with some charcoal.

Crank it up put some charcoal in there let it get hot it can get up to 700°. that’ll kill everything and wire brush it and clean it all out get rid of all the old ash. and then after using each time let it burn out it’ll burn everything out and clean the grate.. and as was previously commented use it more often.

You will probably want to replace those seals after you do the clean burn. Looks like there is mold on those.

If you don’t use it for a long time just keep it a bit open. It’s the lack of ventilation that causes it

    Kill it with fire!

Aka. just use the grill bro

When you do a burn, keep in mind you might have to put new felt around the dome. No big deal, but no one mentioned that to me. lol.

Light it up, use it more often, keep the bottom vent cracked, don’t use a cover.

  20. If only you could have a major heat source to sanitize the interior of all pathogens.

Since no one is addressing prevention: this can be the result of the grill being covered with a tarp or similar, especially over cold wet winter months. If you can swing it, store the grill uncovered but under an awning or in a shed. If you can’t, try propping the lid open just a bit before covering it.
