Got the #1 special. Truffle ramen. The broth was a light soy sauce base with rich pork flavor. Plenty of chashu, lean cuts and delicately marinated. I had them make it spicy. Handmade noodles. Just absolutely delicious. The side fried rice was just as much a star of the show as the ramen. I would travel back to Kyoto just to eat this meal again.

Okay saving this one for my next trip to Osaka. Looks worth a train ride. Thanks for sharing OP

What a stunning bowl. With a shop name like “Yakimeshi to men” (Fried rice and noodles), they really have to deliver on both, and it sounds like they absolutely nailed it. I’m super curious though—did making it spicy overpower the truffle flavor at all, or did the light soy broth help balance it out?

Flavor, texture, and presentation, spot on!
