The only thing I’ve missed more than deli subs is Del Taco.

Wow. Now that’s a sub. Puts the American sub chains to shame.

Where are you living? My wife and I went to France last summer, and after first spending a few days in Tours/Loire Valley, we trained it north to Bayieux and spent Dday/my bday on the Overlord Dday tour. Played golf at Omaha Beach GC too! Beautiful country!!

This looks delicious. Out of interest, how much did this cost you to make? Must and sub?

What’s it like living in France as an American?

What made you decide to live there?

Your base ingredients are going to be of far higher quality in France. A little effort and you have a lovely sandwich.

    Thanks for sharing

  7. Man look at those prices, 2 euro for 100 grams of what is undoubtedly far higher quality salami than we can get in North America for even double the price.

Reminds me of when i visited cologne a couple years ago and my wife and i went out to buy charcuterie.

Got a huge haul of meal, cheese, fruit etc… and was like 40-50 euros, the equivalent where i live would easily be 100-125$ even higher depending on where you bought.

havent been to france in a long time. how well does a supermarket brand baguette hold up compared to one from a boulangerie?

I know what you mean. Getting the meats here in Japan is a quest. Hard to find them all in one place and crazy expensive. But still worth it. The one thing is they’re always on baguettes as Italian bread is nowhere to be found. The baguettes pretty much are everywhere though.

  11. 100G OF SALAMI FOR 2€ ?? The same would be like 8CAD here !

    It looks great, btw !

Excellent mustard. I’ve gotten it before in the US as a gift and loved it

italy isn‘t that far to try something authentic believe me nothing beats a focaccia with pesto burrata and mortadella or a simple caprese 🙏🫶
